sick.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Richard answered:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI&#39;m practical.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Then came a sound.<\/p>\n<p>A car door.<\/p>\n<p>My mother&#39;s voice.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThomas is ledger.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe marina?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThen where?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He paused.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe church.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat church?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe one beside Evelyn&#39;s house.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The call ended.<\/p>\n<p>I looked at Daniel.<\/p>\n<p>He immediately understood.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe go
