He would revoke every document. He would take the house, the money, and the motorcycle away from all of us.\u201d<br \/>\n\u201cYou told me the papers would prevent that.\u201d<br \/>\n\u201cPaper can only do so much.\u201d<br \/>\nDeputy Ortiz stepped between them.<br \/>\n\u201cBeverly Davis, you are under arrest for conspiracy, forgery, identity theft, and attempted financial exploitation of an elderly adult. climbed the ladder and pulled it toward me, the shelf, the chest, and the ladder would have fallen together.<br \/>\nI would have struck the concrete exactly where the motorcycle had once stood.<br \/>\nDetective Pierce placed the future-dated death certificate beside the insurance policy.<br \/>\n\u201cThis was not a plan to have Harold evaluated,\u201d he told Margaret. \u201cIt was a plan to kill him.\u201d<br \/>\nMargaret pressed both hands against her face.<br \/>\n\u201cI didn\u2019t know about the shelf.\u201d<br \/>\n\u201cBut you knew you were supposed to drug him.\u201d<br \/>\n\u201cI thought it would keep him calm.\u201d<br \/>\n\u201cFor a medical evaluation you never confirmed?\u201d<br \/>\n\u201cI trusted my sister.\u201d<br \/>\n\u201cYou also lied about him being violent, forged his signature, helped obtain a fraudulent insurance policy, entered his safe-deposit box, and sold his property while he was away.\u201d<br \/>\n\u201cI made terrible mistakes.\u201d<br \/>\nDetective Pierce\u2019s expression did not change.<br \/>\n\u201cWhether they were mistakes or part of a conspiracy will be determined by the evidence.\u201d<br \/>\nMargaret
