That was the value of the vehicle he had decided to damage after I refused to hand him fifteen thousand dollars.<\/p>\n
I had said no.<\/p>\n
He hadn't accepted it.<\/p>\n
And now we were standing there discussing what the camera had recorded.<\/p>\n
I could hardly believe I was having this conversation.<\/p>\n

But ninety seconds was difficult to dismiss.<\/p>\n

He kept returning to the camera angle.<\/p>\n
The angle, he seemed to think, was the important part.<\/p>\n
Not the scratched vehicle.<\/p>\n
Not the key.<\/p>\n
Not the fact that he had been there.<\/p>\n
Just the angle.<\/p>\n
I listened to him and felt the old frustration coming back.<\/p>\n
I knew that feeling.<\/p>\n
