Liam founded it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Why?<\/p>\n<p>Her answer came immediately.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBecause I believed the only way to destroy a machine built on hidden leverage was to give it something too honest to digest.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Clara whispered, \u201cYou?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Elaine almost seemed to hear.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She smiled faintly.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cClara.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>My only knew Liam would eventually choose someone stronger than his certainty.
