Not anymore. Not in any way that made sense.<\/p>\n<p>Jessica had been my wife for eight years. Now I knew she was my mother\u2019s daughter and therefore my half-sister. Language had become useless around us.<\/p>\n<p>Maya grabbed my arm before I could move toward the warehouse.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPolice are going in.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Farther down the industrial road, unmarked vehicles came alive almost simultaneously. Doors opened. Her dark hair was cut short. Victor believed Thomas worked for him. Cole believed Victor controlled Thomas.
