There were statements, subpoenas, lawyers, and venomous messages from relatives saying that \u201ca father makes mistakes\u201d and \u201cyou don\u2019t turn on your family.\u201d I blocked almost all of them. My dad was released on bail with a restraining order, keeping him away from me and the house. Carol disappeared from social media for a while.
