isn\u2019t only his lawyer.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat does that mean?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe owns Northbridge.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The same shell company.<\/p>\n<p>The same technical contractor.<\/p>\n<p>The same entity attached to our surveillance.<\/p>\n<p>Pike\u2019s face hardened.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCurrent Northbridge Advisory?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd Northbridge Technical Services?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cParent company.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Everything converged.<\/p>\n<p>Money.<\/p>\n<p>Technology.<\/p>\n<p>Access.<\/p>\n<p>Gerald had not operated alone.<\/p>\n<p>He had built a network.<\/p>\n<p>Marianne looked toward me.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLucas designed the plan for your bedroom.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The words hit harder than I expected.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe drugging?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe legal aftermath.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat legal aftermath?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Marianne swallowed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDivorce filing. Reputation strategy.
