of.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGood.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis came from the probate court.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Inside was a notice regarding Robert\u2019s old trust.<\/p>\n<p>One final asset had never been distributed because ownership had been disputed.<\/p>\n<p>A parcel of land.<\/p>\n<p>The original riverside workshop property.<\/p>\n<p>The place where the fire happened.<\/p>\n<p>The place with the red bridge.<\/p>\n<p>Robert\u2019s trust documents divided it equally among his children.<\/p>\n<p>Mark.<\/p>\n<p>Daniel.<\/p>\n<p>Laura.<\/p>\n<p>But Mark\u2019s interest was now subject to restitution.<\/p>\n<p>Daniel\u2019s belonged to Evan\u2019s trust.<\/p>\n<p>Laura still owned hers.<\/p>\n<p>I looked across the parking lot.<\/p>\n<p>Laura saw my face.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>I handed her the paper.<\/p>\n<p>She read it.<\/p>\n<p>Then laughed.<\/p>\n<p>Not happily.<\/p>\n<p>Not bitterly.<\/p>\n<p>Just in disbelief.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe place Dad threw me out of.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe left part of it to me?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cApparently.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She read further.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat do you want to do with Daniel\u2019s share?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have no idea.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Evan overheard.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSell it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Laura looked at him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo who?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He shrugged.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnybody who doesn\u2019t burn it down.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Walter choked on a doughnut.<\/p>\n<p>Margaret told him that was not funny.<\/p>\n<p>It was a little funny.<\/p>\n<p>But later, standing near the new Bridge Mechanical sign, Laura became serious.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDon\u2019t sell it yet.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhy?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s something there Daniel never knew.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>My stomach sank.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPlease don\u2019t say another box.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She looked toward Margaret.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe fire.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>We already knew Mark started it accidentally while hiding
