No remote changes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The agent left.<\/p>\n<p>I looked at Adrian.<\/p>\n<p>He had gone pale.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He leaned toward the screen.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf someone else still has administrator access, Beatrice wasn&#39;t the only person keeping the system alive.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>My phone rang.<\/p>\n<p>Chloe.<\/p>\n<p>I answered immediately.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSloan?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Her voice shook.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat happened?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSomeone just called Dad&#39;s room.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWho?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don&#39;t know.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat did they say?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Chloe inhaled.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey told him to stop talking about Adrian.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Every sound in the room seemed to vanish.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhere&#39;s Dad?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe&#39;s here.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPut security at the door.
