Several pages showed money sent to my mother after Robert vanished.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat could have been support,\u201d I said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s what Grandpa told me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou didn\u2019t believe him?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere were other payments.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo whom?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAn attorney. A motel. A private doctor.
