Tonight we celebrate.<\/p>\n<p>Daniel stared.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI never sent that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The forensic team requested an export.<\/p>\n<p>Within twenty minutes, they had a preliminary answer.<\/p>\n<p>The message came through a spoofed cloud account connected to a cloned credential.<\/p>\n<p>Not Daniel&#39;s device.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWho had access?\u201d Nina asked.<\/p>\n<p>Daniel shook his head.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPaul had old credentials.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Andrew said, \u201cVictor had copies of some of Daniel&#39;s authentication files after the data-room setup.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Evelyn&#39;s face changed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe sent it?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPossibly.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>I thought of Melissa whispering that I could no longer do anything.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDid you show Melissa the message?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>There it was.<\/p>\n<p>The anniversary dinner had not merely revealed their arrogance.<\/p>\n<p>Someone had primed the family to believe that night marked my final loss of authority.<\/p>\n<p>Victor, or someone acting for him, wanted them relaxed.<\/p>\n<p>Celebrating.<\/p>\n<p>Cruel.<\/p>\n<p>Maybe because confident people stopped being careful.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat did Victor expect to happen after dinner?\u201d I asked.<\/p>\n<p>Nobody knew.<\/p>\n<p>Until the forensic accountant found a calendar entry.<\/p>\n<p>The following morning.<\/p>\n<p>8:00 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>VANTAGE CONTROL CONFIRMATION.<\/p>\n<p>Daniel stared at it.<\/p>\n<p>If I had reacted the way everyone expected\u2014crying, retreating, disappearing\u2014the next morning Victor expected confirmation that control had shifted.<\/p>\n<p>Instead, I called Nina.<\/p>\n<p>I froze the accounts.<\/p>\n<p>I triggered the audit.<\/p>\n<p>The anniversary insult had occurred less than twelve hours before Victor&#39;s planned endgame.<\/p>\n<p>Evelyn sat motionless on-screen.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI didn&#39;t know.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo,\u201d I said. \u201cYou just helped him believe Daniel would do it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>For the first time, she had no response.<\/p>\n<p>Then Nina received another message.<\/p>\n<p>Her expression sharpened.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRidgewell&#39;s special committee finished the preliminary review.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat did they find?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She turned toward me.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cVictor&#39;s authority over the Prescott loan is suspended permanently pending formal proceedings.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Daniel exhaled.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd enforcement?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cStill negotiable.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat about Victor?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTerminated.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nobody celebrated.<\/p>\n<p>Victor losing his job did not recover stolen money.<\/p>\n<p>It did not undo forged signatures.<\/p>\n<p>It did not repair my marriage.<\/p>\n<p>But one source of pressure had finally broken.<\/p>\n<p>Nina continued reading.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRidgewell is demanding return of any funds traceable to the original loan that remain under Prescott-related control.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cReasonable,\u201d I said.<\/p>\n<p>Daniel nodded.<\/p>\n<p>Then Nina stopped.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cVictor filed something before termination.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith whom?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cState court.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>My stomach tightened.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA claim asserting Vantage Corridor Holdings has an enforceable option to acquire a controlling interest in Prescott Logistics.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Daniel went pale.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBased on what?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nina opened the attached complaint.<\/p>\n<p>Then looked at me.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBased on a document carrying your signature.\u201d<\/p>\n<hr>\n<h2><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/insightdrama.com\/?p=25691\">Click here to continue reading: PART 22: Victor Produced a Contract With My Perfect Signature, but the Date Proved Someone Had Been Planning My Disappearance Before Daniel Ever Borrowed a Dollar<\/a><\/strong><\/h2>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Daniel did not move after the recording ended.
