know.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThink.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She closed her eyes.<\/p>\n<p>Then opened them.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur honeymoon.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe stayed at a place called Blue Heron Lodge.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhere?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNorth Carolina.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>My pulse jumped.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas had just given us a location clue in front of Evelyn.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cStill open?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Singh was already searching.<\/p>\n<p>The lodge closed years earlier.<\/p>\n<p>Property sold.<\/p>\n<p>Now listed as a private assisted-living retreat.<\/p>\n<p>Ownership hidden behind a holding company.<\/p>\n<p>Price looked at the structure.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cVoss.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Of course.<\/p>\n<p>Agents moved immediately.<\/p>\n<p>No one told Evelyn.<\/p>\n<p>No one responded to the trade request.<\/p>\n<p>We waited.<\/p>\n<p>Forty minutes.<\/p>\n<p>An hour.<\/p>\n<p>Then Singh\u2019s phone rang.<\/p>\n<p>She listened.<\/p>\n<p>Her expression tightened.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rachel asked.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBlue Heron property is empty.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rachel\u2019s face collapsed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRecently?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHow recently?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cVery.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat did they find?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMedical equipment. Food.
