fatherhood around here.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>We moved Raymond toward the drainage entrance.<\/p>\n<p>He refused.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGo.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou need a hospital.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGrant.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>His voice sharpened.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI waited thirty-four years because I was afraid. Brennan.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Natalie\u2019s adoptive mother.<\/p>\n<p>Linda had supposedly known nothing.<\/p>\n<p>But there she was.<\/p>\n<p>At St. Agnes.<\/p>\n<p>Present during the exchange.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLinda knew?\u201d I asked.<\/p>\n<p>Margaret looked devastated.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI trusted her.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Another layer.<\/p>\n<p>Another person.<\/p>\n<p>Daniel pointed herself.<\/p>\n<p>Daniel stared at the word beneath his infant face.<\/p>\n<p>TRANSFER.<\/p>\n<p>His jaw tightened.<\/p>\n<p>Marcus stood beside him.<\/p>\n<p>Neither said anything.<\/p>\n<p>Then Daniel tore the photograph from the wall.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI spent my whole life wondering why Stephen treated me like an employee who lived in his house.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Marcus looked at poisoned.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWho?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Margaret looked toward the archive corridor.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLinda Brennan.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Natalie\u2019s adoptive mother.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLinda is dead.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Margaret shook her head.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>My stomach dropped.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnother false
