Harold knew.<\/p>\n
June stopped.<\/p>\n
Thomas whispered, \u201cHow much land?\u201d<\/p>\n
She continued reading.<\/p>\n
Hundreds of acres over decades.<\/p>\n
Some later sold.<\/p>\n
Some incorporated into Harold\u2019s holdings.<\/p>\n
Some proceeds invested.<\/p>\n
The fortune in the trust was not entirely clean.<\/p>\n
June looked toward Mr. Vernon.<\/p>\n
His face tightened.<\/p>\n
That was the real inheritance problem.<\/p>\n
