Robert\u2019s people would eventually discover the transfers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd North Shore was his way to replace them first.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The structure became complete.<\/p>\n<p>Daniel had taken money.<\/p>\n<p>Elliot knew.<\/p>\n<p>Daniel needed to repay it before I discovered it.<\/p>\n<p>Elliot offered North Shore.<\/p>\n<p>North Shore required more money.<\/p>\n<p>Daniel borrowed from an entity Elliot secretly controlled.<\/p>\n<p>That increased his dependence.<\/p>\n<p>When financing weakened, Elliot reached for my house.<\/p>\n<p>Then my signature.<\/p>\n<p>Each solution tightened the trap.<\/p>\n<p>But Daniel had stepped into the first one himself.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhy?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>I asked.<\/p>\n<p>Elliot misunderstood.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhy what?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhy build this around Daniel?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe was useful.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBecause of he?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHow?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe let me take the risk when things were difficult and then acted morally superior afterward.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>There was genuine resentment now.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe wanted deals closed. He wanted money. He wanted success. He told me he\u2019d send an address.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>My pulse accelerated.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHalf an hour.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>I ended the call.<\/p>\n<p>Then called Daniel.<\/p>\n<p>No answer.<\/p>\n<p>Again.<\/p>\n<p>Voicemail.<\/p>\n<p>Richard called his attorney contact.<\/p>\n<p>Marcus began trying Daniel.<\/p>\n<p>Nothing.<\/p>\n<p>Finally my phone buzzed.<\/p>\n<p>A text from Daniel.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m giving Elliot one chance to admit what he did before I turn everything over.
