You can continue protecting yourself narrowly, or you can cooperate fully.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Daniel objected immediately.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy client is cooperating.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSelectively.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mark did not argue.<\/p>\n<p>He stared down at his hands for a long time.<\/p>\n<p>Then he asked, \u201cIf I give you everything, can you protect Emily and Leo?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Harrison answered carefully.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo lawyer can guarantee that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mark\u2019s jaw tightened.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut secrecy has not protected them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mark looked toward Emily.<\/p>\n<p>She said nothing.<\/p>\n<p>This decision had to be his.<\/p>\n<p>At last he turned to Daniel.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGive Harrison the second drive.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Daniel\u2019s expression hardened.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMark, we discussed this.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI know.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat second drive?\u201d Emily asked.<\/p>\n<p>Mark reached inside his jacket.<\/p>\n<p>For a moment Emily thought he might produce it there.<\/p>\n<p>Instead he removed a key card.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA bank box.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhose?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMine.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat\u2019s inside?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCopies of every Aria record Thomas and I collected. Emails. Transfers.
