consent.<\/p>\n<p>The opposite.<\/p>\n<p>Megan grabbed my arm.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf Marlow destroys that file\u2014\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe still have other evidence.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut not that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>I understood.<\/p>\n<p>The medical record did not only prove kidnapping.<\/p>\n<p>It proved Megan had fought from the beginning.<\/p>\n<p>Something no one could rewrite as confusion.<\/p>\n<p>Priya\u2019s phone rang.<\/p>\n<p>She answered.<\/p>\n<p>Her face changed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She listened.<\/p>\n<p>Then looked at me.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYour house
