did not promise forever.<\/p>\n<p>She promised truth.<\/p>\n<p>She promised to ask instead of decide.<\/p>\n<p>She promised that fear would be spoken before it became action.<\/p>\n<p>Then it was my turn.<\/p>\n<p>I promised not to confuse helping with controlling.<\/p>\n<p>I promised to tell her when I was frightened.<\/p>\n<p>I promised that staying would remain my choice, not her
